Garalista is a platform for garage, parking, and storage listings in the Lisbon metropolitan area.

When you submit a listing, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, listing details, municipality, area, private street name, description, photos, optional features, and vehicle compatibility information.

When you create a wanted request, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, desired location, budget, size requirements, space preferences, optional features, vehicle compatibility, and message.

When you use the walking-distance estimator, the street or area you enter is used to calculate an approximate distance to a listing. This visitor street may be saved locally in your browser so you do not have to type it again, but it is not stored in Garalista's database.

We may also collect basic technical data needed to operate and protect the website, such as browser information, security logs, and usage data.

Owner-submitted street names are used to validate listing locations and to calculate approximate walking-distance estimates.

Garalista does not publicly display the exact private street name on listing pages. Visitors see the municipality and area, but not the full private street.

Garalista may store private coordinates derived from the submitted street name. These coordinates are used internally for distance estimates and are not shown as an exact public address.

We use your data to review and publish listings, allow interested users to contact listing owners, manage wanted requests, validate locations, calculate walking-distance estimates, prevent spam or abuse, translate listing descriptions when requested, and operate the website.

We do not sell your personal data.

Garalista may use Azure Translator to translate listing descriptions between Portuguese and English. Only the public listing description is sent for translation. Private street names, email addresses, phone numbers, and owner contact details are not sent for translation.

Garalista may use OpenStreetMap/Nominatim to validate street names and calculate approximate location data for distance estimates.

Uploaded listing photos are stored using Supabase Storage, and listing/request data is stored in Supabase.

Approved listing information may be shown publicly on the website, including title, price, size, municipality, area, description, photos, features, vehicle compatibility, and owner contact options.

Private street names are not shown publicly.

Wanted requests are not shown publicly during the MVP phase. They are visible only to the site administrator and may be used to understand demand and help connect users with relevant opportunities.

We may share relevant contact details only when needed to help users communicate about a listing or respond to a request.

Garalista does not handle payments, contracts, deposits, or rental/sale agreements between users.

Users are responsible for confirming listing details, visiting spaces if needed, and making their own decisions before any payment or agreement.

We keep personal data only for as long as needed to operate the platform, manage listings, handle wanted requests, prevent abuse, or comply with legal obligations.

You can request deletion or correction of your personal data by contacting us.

Under applicable data protection law, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data.

You may also have the right to data portability and to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.

Garalista may use basic cookies, localStorage, or analytics tools to operate the website, remember user preferences, save filters, save walking-distance input locally in the browser, understand usage, and improve the service.

If we add non-essential analytics or advertising cookies later, we will update this policy and add the appropriate consent options if required.
